What is FasTracKids and Its History

In 1997, the founder of FTK had a vision of building key skills in children, so they would be better communicators, problem-solvers and leaders in their lives. The founder met an educator who had developed a curriculum that built a child’s creative and critical thinking skills.

In January 1998, FTK International was incorporated and it purchased the intellectual property rights to the curriculum. FTK had been through research before it released for the market. From the research, the FTK student improved their vocabulary and social skills at rate 100 - 150% faster than their peers not enrolled in programs. They made significant leap in their school, children in kindergarten-aged advanced as much as one grade level, some of students even improved as much as two grade level.

The five classes conducted for the first time in both, English and Spanish in Malaysia, Venezuele, Singapore, United States, Australiaand Mexico. since then, It has grown wide in more than 50 countries. For FTK West Surabaya, we started from January, 2005. We only had one program that time, now we have 4 programs; FTKids, FTTots, FTExplorer, and Discoverer. In Fastrackids we enhance student’s ability in 5c (Communication, Creativity, Critical Thinking, Collaboration (teamwork), and Confidence). Our purpose to prepare them for school and life. We provide a multisensory approach (auditory, visual, tactile (demonstrative) and kinesthetic (learning best from hands-on method)).

These have been our goal in education is to develop children skills in:

3. To build communication and speaking skills
4. To teach the application and transfer of knowledge
5. To promote leadership and personal growth
6. To encourage a lifelong love of learning

We are a unique enrichment center, because we teach student 12 subjects that relate to daily lives; we also teach them craft or hands-on activity; and plus, we teach them in English. This will encourage children to speak in English here in FTK. We provide our students a fun learning to show them that learning can be fun.
